Founder & CEO

Joe Newcomb played professional baseball in the Toronto Blue Jays organization before an injury ended his career. He turned to business. Over the decades that followed he built, scaled, and exited companies across chemicals and commodities, and today he is Chairman and CEO of Truth Industries, an operator-led platform spanning commodities, private investment, and media.

In 2012 he founded Truth Entertainment. Its first production was Dallas Buyers Club, which drew six Academy Award nominations and won three Oscars. He has since extended the platform into agriculture and professional sport. He lives in The Woodlands, Texas, with his wife and four children.

Cosimo Blodgett takes a film from concept to distribution. He works with writers, directors, and financiers to shape intellectual property, package talent, and structure projects that hold up creatively and financially. His background runs through technology, real estate development, and sales. He is a core member of the Round Top Film Festival leadership team, supporting programming, development, and fundraising.

Anthony Pellen is an Executive Producer at Truth Entertainment, the Texas company behind Dallas Buyers Club, which won Matthew McConaughey the Oscar for Best Actor. He works across the full arc of a film, from development through post-production delivery, alongside directors, writers, and production teams. His other credits with the company include The Tribes of Palos Verdes and The Nobistor Affair.
